Paper planes

The simple gesture of folding a sheet of paper into a plane has the power to spread smiles around the world. No matter the age — child, adult, or elder — it brings a moment of joy to every soul.
Last night, during my weekly volunteer shift at Bikerowave, the head mechanic found a crumpled piece of paper on the floor. He folded it into a plane and launched it playfully toward someone across the room.
I watched him as he did it — the lightness in his movement, the quiet smile that spread across his face. In that instant, something small and simple became something shared.
Paper planes don’t know cultural barriers. They exist everywhere, in every language, in every corner of the world. It is a reminder that some of the most meaningful connections come from the simplest gestures.
Small actions and simple objects bring the most complex smiles to life.
