Freezing time
I recently returned to the White Mountains for the Fall foliage. Standing at Mount Willard in Crawford Notch, I compared two moments captured in photographs: October 14, 2018, and October 18, 2024.
Six years separate these images, yet as I sat there gazing through the notch at the tapestry of autumn colors, those years compressed into what felt like days or weeks. The place remained unchanged, though my life had been filled with countless changes, events, and memories. Time is relative, isn't it? While clocks march forward, our memories have the power to freeze moments in perfect stillness. There's something magical about that.
